BANGOR, Maine — The troop greeters at Bangor International Airport have restored a display featuring photos and a newspaper article about writer Stephen King.

The materials were taken down by greeters after King´s remark about reading and the military was publicized this week by a conservative blogger. King told high school students that reading leads to good jobs, while those who aren´t good readers have lesser prospects, including military service.

Tom Kohl, chairman of the troop greeters, says King used a poor choice of words. But he says there was a unanimous vote to restore the Stephen King display.
