By The Associated Press wire report December 28, 2006 11:01 AM

DAYTON - A one-car crash in the York County town of Dayton claimed the life of a 27-year-old Arundel woman Wednesday night.

State police said Sarah Cowley was killed instantly when her station wagon struck a tree on Hight Road, about a mile from the Route 35 intersection. Cowley was alone in the vehicle.

Trooper Lauren Edstrom said Cowley was driving with a suspended license and was likely speeding at the time of the crash. In the past five years, her license had been suspended 13 other times for various driving violations.
