PORTLAND - Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich will bring his campaign to Maine this week.

The Ohio congressman will appear on community television in Portland on Friday evening to promote his plan to create a cabinet-level Department of Peace. He will later attend a reception and forum in Portland.

In 2004, Maine was among the states where Kucinich made his strongest showing. He finished third in the state Democratic caucuses, behind John Kerry and Howard Dean.
