BIDDEFORD - Monday morning's low temperatures made it tough for firefighters battling a house fire.

Crews said that when they arrived at the house at 115 Granite St., it was already engulfed in flames.

No one was at home at the time.

Several firefighters were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Fire Chief Robert Fournier said it's too early to determine what caused the fire but added that the fire marshal's office is investigating.

Officials said the home is a total loss.
