The House of Representatives has approved a bill to rename a
bridge in Falmouth where a 9-year-old Winslow boy died in 2005.
The proposal would rename it the Ryan Quirion Guthrie Bridge. Ryan was traveling with his grandmother June Quirion on I-295 when another driver crossed the median, hit a guardrail and caused a five-car accident.
Six people went to the hospital. Ryan died two days after the accident.
The bill now goes to the Senate for a final vote.
