For Pittsfield emergencies, call 911

By Morning Sentinel Staff Report March 29, 2007 02:33 PM

PITTSFIELD — Police are trained to respond to complaints, but more and more frequently Pittsfield’s officers are not getting the message.

Residents have made a habit of calling the department’s administrative number when they should be calling the dispatch center, said Sgt. Tim Roussin of the Pittsfield police.

“If they have a complaint they have have to call the Somerset County Communications Center,” Roussin said.

People should call 9-1-1 for help in emergencies.
