Buxton police plan to hold a 1 p.m. news conference today to discuss the identity of the remains found over the weekend in the Saco River.

Officials believe the body is that of 15-year-old Coreen Wiese who disappeared in November. She was last seen along the Saco River near the Route 25 bridge.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office has said it would have confirmed the identity by DNA testing today.
