Four women vie for two selectman seats

By Morning Sentinel Staff Report May 22, 2007 05:49 PM

SKOWHEGAN — Gearing up for the June 12 municipal elections, the four women vying for two seats on the Board of Selectmen have expressed a wide-ranging set of priorities.

Incumbent Betty A. Austin and Jennifer R. Flannery, Joy A. Mase and Sarah J. Tracy — who all attended Skowhegan Area High School — are vying for the two available positions. Pamela Hatch has decided not to run, following two three-year terms on the board.

Polls at the Municipal Building will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Only the selectmen’s races are contested, as just two people are running for three spots on the School Administrative District 54 Board of Directors.
