UNITY — Unity College announced today that it has been accredited to train junior high and high school science teachers.
The state’s board of education has approved the college’s education program following a three year study.
“There is a real need in Maine for science teachers,” said John Zavodny, academic chair. “This is a great way for us to attract students from other areas of the country and prepare them for a life of service in Maine.”
