Two people were arrested at 8:45 a.m., this morning after police discovered 100 marijuana plants as well as a quantity of processed marijuana, Monmouth Police Chief Robert Annese said.

Richard Urquhart and his wife, Heather, were taken to the Kennebec County jail this morning after Monmouth Police, the Kennebec Sheriff's Department and state probation and parole officers executed a joint search warrant at a residence on Route 126 in Monmouth.

The couple was arrested on two felony charges each: cultivating marijuana and trafficking in marijuana.
