U.S. 202 clear after truck towed in Winthrop

WINTHROP — A tractor-trailer that blocked traffic on U.S. Route 202 ear D. R. Struck Landscaping was removed from the road, freeing traffic Friday afternoon.

Police said a tractor-trailer had broken down on the side of the road, rolled out into the roadway and jacknifed, blocking all three lanes of traffic around 3 p.m.

The truck has since been towed from the roadway and police said the road is clear.

The truck did not strike anything and was not damaged.
