"Supernanny" looking for Maine families

By Ray Routhier Portland Press Herald Staff Writer June 19, 2007 02:35 PM

A casting crew from the ABC reality TV series "Supernanny" will be in Maine next week looking for families.

The crew will hold an open casting call for families on Monday, at Deering Oaks on Park Avenue, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Families will be asked to fill out a two-page application and have their picture taken.

If casting directors are interested in a family for the show, they may send them a a longer application and ask to visit their home, said Coi Mattison, a casting assistant with the show. If any families are picked for the show, they will be featured on an episode during season four, which begins in January.

The show features nanny Jo Frost, who visits families and help them deal with behavioral issues. For season four, casting directors are looking for several specific things, including: a whole neighborhood where families could use help; a family preparing for a big event, like a wedding; or families with sports-obsessed parents.

For more information on the casting event or the show, go to www.supernanny.com or call 1-877-626-6984.
