AUGUSTA — The Kennebec River Rail Trail from Augusta to Hallowell and
Farmingdale to Gardiner will be closed Tuesday, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.

The state will be spraying chemicals to try to control weeds, grass and
brush. If the weather is bad Tuesday, the spraying will be delayed until the next good weather day, according to DOT.

Signs will be posted along the trail and volunteers may wait at the
entrances to remind people the trail is closed.
