Moving Randolph's War Memorial

By Kennebec Journal Staff Report July 30, 2007 11:14 AM

A new committee has been formed to relocate the Randolph War Memorial. It will be moved from the corner of Elm and Water streets to the Town Office on Kinderhook Street.

Members of the Committee are all Randolph veterans: Arthur Benner, Everett Mansir, Bill Shea and Paul Curran.

The old memorial has no names on it. The committee will have the names of veterans from Randolph etched into the new memorial.

The committee will decide on the placing of the memorial, funding sources, adding names to the monument, landscaping, and moving the flag pole, a bench and a fence.
