Pleasure boat being towed to shore

By David Hench Portland Press Herald Staff Writer August 15, 2007 09:55 AM

A 35-foot pleasure boat with eight people on board ran aground this morning and was taking on water at Bear Island off Rockland.

The Coast Guard sent a 47-foot boat to assist the boat, the Buff Enough, which was to be towed into Camden.

A Coast Guard spokesman said the boat’s pumps were able to keep up with the leak and nobody was injured.
