The head of the federal agency that oversees airport security, is scheduled to visit to Maine airports today.
Edmund "Kip" Hawley, administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, will attend events at Bangor International Airport and the Portland International Jetport.
Hawley will discuss a new federal law that provides legal protection to people who report suspicious activity or threats to the nation's transportation system.
Hawley is in Maine at the invitation of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, a Republican who helped write the law.
