GARDINER - The first "Inside Out Sidewalk Sale," is today in downtown Gardiner.
Several downtown merchants are expected to move their wares onto the Water Street sidewalks today for the event organized by Gardiner Main Street.
In the afternoon and evening entertainment is planned inside and outside the performing arts center Johnson Hall, also on Water Street in downtown Gardiner.
At 3 p.m., in the mini-park adjacent to Johnson Hall, the R & B Dance Company is expected to perform “Summer Dancin’.”
And at 7 p.m., “Noveau Chapeau, Accordion & Dance: A French Celebration,” will perform inside Johnson Hall. Sylvain Piro, an accordion master from Alsace, France, and his wife Catherine, a dance teacher, will perform with local accordionist Gary Chapin and clarinetist Steve Gruverman as the group Nouveau Chapeau.
There is a suggested donation of $5 for the musical event, in which all dances will also be taught.
