Plane mishap at Augusta Airport

By September 04, 2007 10:07 AM

AUGUSTA— Emergency personnel are at the Augusta State Airport investigating an incident involving a private plane that apparently landed nose down.

The runway where the accident occurred is being closed.

According to Bill Perry, who operates Maine Instrument Flight and Maine Beechcraft at the airport, no one was hurt.

Perry said the plane involved was a Beechcraft Bonanza, and the problem apparently had to do with the plane's nose gear.
