All 290 school districts have filed intent letters

By September 04, 2007 04:00 PM

As of today, all 290 school administrative units have filed one or more notices of intent, according to the Maine Department of Education.

The "notice of intent" tells the state how they will comply with a law designed to require schools to find savings in administrative costs.

An updated list is available on the Department of Education Web site at: http://www.maine.gov/education/supportingschools/index.html

The department will review the plans and will respond to School Administrative Units by Sept. 14.
