BIDDEFORD — A Massachusetts freshman at the University of New England faces charges of terrorizing after his arrest this weekend following bizarre threats to kill people on campus.

Biddeford police arrested Brandon Earhart, 18, on Saturday after being alerted to the incident by security at the University of New England.

Earhart had been with a female student at 2:30 a.m. Saturday when she reported that he was having mood swings and was acting in a threatening way, police said.

Earhart told her he could trust no one and was going to kill everyone and watch them die, police said. He also said he would kill UNE security guards and their families slowly and watch them die, police said.

He is free on $500 bail. His mother picked him up and took him home to Massachusetts. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 7.
