State Police arrested a couple from Bowdoinham early this morning after a high-speed chase on the Maine Turnpike and a search of a wooded area in Augusta. The couple was in a stolen car.

Joseph Cloutier, 26, and 22-year-old Shawna Neece wer charged with theft of a motor vehicle. Cloutier also is charged with operating under the influence, eluding a police officer, and criminal speed. Both have booked at Kennebec County Jail.
