TRAFFIC TROUBLES IN...
• PORTLAND — Slow going today on Brighton Avenue at Stevens Avenue today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The City of Portland, Public Works Department will be working in that area, which will mean single-lane traffic in westerly (outbound) lane. Also, there will not be a left turn onto Stevens Avenue from the westbound lane. Seek alternative routes if this could be problematic.
• FALMOUTH — The railroad tracks over Woodville Road are under repair today, meaning you won't be able to cross them. Seek alternative routes if your path usually crosses the tracks.

THE NEWS FROM...
• PORTLAND — Portland Police are still trying to sort out a crash at the crosswalk at the Plymouth and Allen Street intersection.
Police say it happened around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Four people were crossing in the crosswalk and three of them were hit by a car. They all had non-life threatening injuries.
Names have not yet been released, and it is still not clear why, or who, hit them.

SHOW AND TELL TIME
I just had to share this photo from my trip out west, because it's a sight you will NEVER see in Maine. Not only because of the glorious, snow-covered mountains, but also because those cattle belong to Ralph Lauren! That's right, designer steer! Lauren's 16,000-acre ranch, the "Double RL", is next door to my in-laws' home, just outside of Telluride. No, my in-laws are not rich. Just lucky.
Anyway, it's good to be home. Home on the coast. Where the moose and the mosquito play. Where seldom is heard a discouraging word. And the skies are not cloudy today. (Sing to tune of "Home on the Range.")
