Bangor authorities looking for missing man

By The Associated Press wire report November 13, 2007 02:44 PM

BANGOR - Bangor police are looking for a local man who was last seen leaving a bar late Friday.

Twenty-five-year-old Matt Lacross was escorted by a bouncer out of Carolina's Sports Bar at around midnight. Some friends describe him as perfectly coherent at the time; other say he was too drunk to walk.

His sister, Brandie DeWitt, says he's a happy-go-lucky guy but it's out of character for him to miss work without calling.

On Monday, firefighters searched the river while a group of friends and family searched downtown Bangor and along the riverfront.
