WATERVILLE — Managers at The Home Depot were taking no chances Wednesday after finding that someone had made a hangman's noose in the rope aisle of the store.

The incident was immediately reported to Waterville police and a statement was filed with corporate headquarters.

The noose was removed and sent to corporate offices in Atlanta, GA.

Meanwhile Waterville store managers were checking a surveillance camera for possible clues.
