For the third time this month, a Maine teenager has been overcome by excessive alcohol. This time, however, the boy survived.
The latest incident took place in Greene after a 17-year-old boy consumed a fifth of Southern Comfort and then passed out. State Police said the boy’s mother notified them. It was unclear where the alcohol was obtained.
In the past two weeks, two other teens died in Maine from suspected alcohol poisoning. The deaths took place in Portland and Auburn and both involved 18-year-old males.
