The movie theater at Clark’s Pond in South Portland will open for business Feb. 1, 2008, the theater’s operators have announced.
In September, Zyacorp Entertainment announced it would take over management of the movie theater at Clark’s Pond, which had been run by Regal Entertainment until this past summer. Zyacorp officials said they would renovate the eight-screen theater and probably begin showing films there early in 2008.
In a statement released this week, Zyacorp officials said that the renovations are “being completed” and that the theater’s new name will be Cinemagic Grand. Zyacrop runs the Cinemagic theaters in Westbrook and Saco.
Some of the features of the renovated theater, according to Zyacorp, will include: reserved seats, with people being able to select the seat location; high-back leather rocking seats with cup and tray holders and fold-away arms; stadium seating; a lobby bistro serving wine, microbrews and light meals; a piano in the lobby; digital projection and sound.
The movie theater at Clark’s Pond is located off Gorham Road, near The Home Depot.
