TURNER - A church in Turner is sorting out how to get youngsters to church this Sunday after somebody vandalized six buses.

State police say somebody smashed windshields and headlights, tore off wipers and set off fire extinguishers inside the buses at Calvary Baptist Church. The buses are used to bring youngsters to the church from Lewiston, Auburn and surrounding towns each week.

Police estimated damages at $5,000 to $10,000.

Church officials say they won't be able to get the buses fixed for at least another week while they get in touch with their insurance company.
