CANAAN — An Aspen Lane resident was injured Wednesday morning when she drove her 1997 Chrysler Concorde out of her driveway and into the path of a pickup truck, police said.
Holly Ellis, 32, was taken to Redington-Fairview General Hospital with a leg injury, according to State Police Trooper Hugh Landry.
Landry said that Ellis could not see adequately over her snowbank when she drove out of her long driveway, and onto Whitten Road. A pickup truck with a snowplow driven by Robert Reid, 39, of Canaan hit Ellis on the left front of her vehicle, Landry said.
Landry said that he issued a summons to Reid, for driving with a suspended license.
“She just couldn’t see over the big snowbank,” Landry said. “She slowly moved out into the path of the plow.”
