OXFORD -- Oxford Plains Speedway owner Bill Ryan confirmed on Thursday that NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick has entered this summer's TD Banknorth 250 at the track.

Harvick, the defending Daytona 500 champion, will compete in the 35th annual event on Sunday, July 20.

The 32-year-old native of Bakersfield, Calif., is a 2-time champion of the Busch Series, NASCAR's top developmental circuit. Harvick has 11 career Cup Series wins in 250 starts after replacing the late Dale Earnhardt behind the wheel of Richard Childress Racing's No. 29 Chevrolets in 2001.

American-Canadian Tour driver Roger Brown of Lancaster, N.H., is the defending champion of the TD Banknorth 250.
