One person was taken to the hospital after a three-car accident at the intersection of Marginal Way and Franklin Arterial at about 9:30 a.m. today.

Police say Cody Carlson, 19, of Peterborough, N.H., drove through a red light while heading south on Franklin Arterial, hitting a car driven by Nicholas Callanan, 28, of Portland, that was proceeding through the light to head east on Marginal Way.

The collision caused the eastbound car to roll over into a U-Haul truck stopped on Marginal Way heading west.

Callanan was taken to the hospital with a head injury that was not life-threatening. Police issued a ticket to the driver accused of running the red light.
