OAKLAND — The Oakland Fire Department will receive a $74,400 grant from the Department of Homeland Security, Sen. Susan Collins announced today.
The funding comes through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and is to be used for training, equipment, wellness and fitness and modifications to fire department facilities.
“The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program,” Collins said, “is a critical source of funding for Maine’s fire and rescue personnel.”
