MacArthur bows out in SAD 59

MADISON — Sandra MacArthur will sit in on her last meeting as superintendent when School Administrative District 59 directors conduct their monthly meeting Monday night.

MacArthur, who has taken a position with Maine School Management, announced her resignation last month. Her last day on the job is Jan. 31.

SAD 59 is working with SAD 53 of Pittsfield to consolidate into a new Regional School Unit. Earlier this month, the SAD 59 Board of Directors named SAD 53 Superintendent Michael Gallagher as its interim superintendent until June, 2009.

Monday night’s meeting at the SAD 59 Administrative Center in Madison begins at 7.
