Nine nominated for court positions

AUGUSTA - Gov. John Baldacci today nominated nine individuals to Maine Superior and District Courts.

The nominations to the Superior Court are:

  • Roland A. Cole of Wells, reappoinment. Justice Cole has served on the Superior Court for 21 years.
  • Robert E. Crowley of Kennebunk, reappointment. Justice Crowley has served on the Superior Court since 1993.
  • Donald H. Marden of Oakland, active retired appointment. Justice Marden has served on the Superior Court for 13 years.
  • William R. Anderson of Morrill, new appointment. Anderson has been serving as District Court Judge since 1993.

    The nominations to the District Court are:

  • Paul A. Cote Jr. of Auburn, reappointment. Cote has served as District Court judge for 14 years.
  • Andre G. Janelle of Saco, reappointment. Judge Janelle has served on the Maine District Court for 21 years.
  • Jane S. Bradley of Freeport, active retired appointment. Bradley has served as judge on the Maine District Court for nearly 22 years.
  • Jeffrey H. Moskowitz of Saco, new appointment. Moskowitz currently serves as Assistant District Attorney with the York County District Attorney’s Office.
  • Susan A. Sparaco of Farmingdale, new appointment. Sparaco currently serves as Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Maine Attorney General.

    Judicial nominees must be reviewed by the Judiciary Committee and confirmed by the full Senate before being appointed.
