BRIDGTON — The new expanded Mushers Bowl Winter Carnival culminates this weekend.

This year’s event has been lengthened from four days to 10. The highlight dog sled races will be held Saturday and Sunday, the closing weekend of the festivities. Winter carnival activities also will be offered.

Organizers say the new extended format is getting an enthusiastic reception in the Lakes Region. The activities include a mix of locally oriented activities and larger ones.
