Assaults, thefts, chair in the road

IN OAKLAND, Monday at 8:32 a.m., a woman came to the Police Department to report a rock from a tire in front of her vehicle struck her windshield and broke it. She followed the vehicle to the home of the man driving the vehicle and he told her he had over-sized tires and no fender flares. He also told her the incident was an act of God and that she should contact her insurance company, according to the report. Police warned the man for having over-sized tires and advised him to cover his tires with fender extenders.

8:15 a.m., a caller from Ten Lots Road reported to the bus garage that rain caused sand in the road to wash down onto the railroad crossing on Ten Lots Road. He said he thought the railroad should know about the situation before a train comes through, according to the report.

IN WATERVILLE, Monday at 9:22 p.m., someone went to the Police Department to report an assault.

8:35 p.m., an assault was reported on Libby Court.

8:22 p.m., an employee of PT Cab went to the Police Department to report a theft.

2:47 p.m., a case involving threatening was reported at Ruby Tuesday at Waterville Commons off Upper Main Street.

12:47 p.m., a theft was reported on Halde Street.

9:41 a.m., a theft was reported at Tim Horton’s on Upper Main Street.

IN WINSLOW, Monday at 7:46 p.m., a caller from Monument Street reported two people were sitting in a recliner in the middle of Monument Street. The two people were carrying the chair to Bellevue Street and got tired and sat down in the street as a joke, according to the report. One of them was from Lewiston, has active bail conditions, is not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18, and now is living in the area, according to the report.

4:30 p.m., a caller from Goodrich Lane reported two people have stolen multiple items from her home since July. When she requested the items be returned, she was threatened, she reported.

2:10 p.m., a caller from First Street reported she believes her daughter is threatening her.

12:45 p.m., an officer reported a telephone line was down at the entrance to the Public Works garage.

11:11 a.m., a caller from Bassett Road reported a male was trespassing on her property.

9:50 a.m., a caller from Cushman Road reported being harassed via the Internet.

8:05 a.m., someone called police from Iraq and reported his retirement fund checks were stolen as part of an ongoing case. Police advised him to have his wife, who lives in Winslow, come to the Police Department or call to make a complaint for him, according to the report.

Arrests

IN WATERVILLE, Monday at 4:35 p.m., Chad St. Pierre, 34, of Shawmut, arrested on a warrant, on Common Street.

10:05 a.m., Joseph B. Small, 27, of 7 Maple St., Fairfield, arrested on charges of operating after suspension and driving with a suspended registration, on Drummond Avenue.
