LEWISTON - Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 47-year-old woman who was found in her Lewiston apartment.

Lewiston police found Debra Audet in her apartment at 101 Birch St. late Sunday night. Maine State Police detectives were called in to work the case with Lewiston police.

Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said the death is suspicious, but that detectives are awaiting autopsy results for the official cause of death.
