For the first time in February, passengers flying to and from the Portland Jetport surpassed 100,000 by 17,903 passengers. The record-setting month exceeded February 2007 by 23,349 passengers.

The Portland International Jetport is New England's fastest-growing airport in terms of passenger numbers with more than 1.6 million passengers in 2007 - an increase of 17 percent.

Due to the increase in flights and number of passengers in and out of the Portland Jetport, the city recommends passengers arrive 90 minutes before their scheduled flight departure and limit carry-on luggage to speed processing through the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening area.
