WINTHROP — The Town Council will meet Tuesday night to consider buying real estate. The meeting was originally set for tonight.

The meeting at the town office will begin at 7 p.m. with an executive session to be followed by a public session.

While the site is not listed on the agenda, councilors recently authorized Town Manager Cornell Knight to negotiate with MaineGeneral Health, owner of the former Winthrop Health Center. The site is being considered as the new home for Winthrop Ambulance.
