Eight lose home in Brunswick fire

By Portland Press Herald Staff Report March 24, 2008 02:55 PM

The cause of an early Monday morning fire that destroyed a single-family home in Brunswick may never be known.

Brunswick Fire Chief Clark Labbe said an investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office listed the cause as undetermined.

Eight people lived in the home at 695 Pleasant Hill Road, but no one was in the home when the fire broke out around 2 a.m.

Labbe, who was the first firefighter to arrive at the scene, said the home was engulfed in flames.

Labbe said two couples, Gerard and Patricia Dube and Ron and Barbara Dube, along with four children, were living in the residence at the time.
