JACKMAN — This snowmobiling mecca just south of the Canadian border will play host to snowmobilers into May, the trail master of the Border Riders Sportsman Club predicted Monday.

Dave Jones, who also owns Jackman Power Sports, said there is no bare ground showing in town. Step off your sled alongside a trail, he said, and you will be waist deep in snow.

“There will be enough snow here to ride four or five more weeks, anyway,” Jones said. “We’ve got five or six feet of snow on the ground, and it’s not going anywhere.”
