A Sanford man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court today to possessing and transporting child pornography.

Robert B. Wright, 36, faces at least five years and up to 20 years in prison for transporting child pornography and 10 years for possessing it, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney Paula Silsby.

Wright was in an online chat room in 2004 when he posted a link to a collection of child pornography, according to the statement. Wright also sent a video file of a minor girl engaged in sex.

The images were accessed by a Secret Service agent in Miami, Fla. A search warrant on Wright’s home in 2005 yielded a computer with several images.

In addition to prison, Wright faces fines of up to $500,000.
