WATERVILLE — Maine author Kate Braestrup will read from her critically acclaimed memoir, “Here If You Need Me,” at 7 p.m. April 10 at St. Joseph’s Maronite Church.
The author will sign copies of her book during a reception following her speech. The event, free to the public, is the fourth in a series of readings by Maine writers sponsored by the Capital Campaign Committee of Waterville Public Library.
Braestrup’s book begins with the death of her husband, a Maine state trooper, and Braestrup’s subsequent decision to become a minister and eventually a chaplain for the Maine Warden Service.
