RICHMOND — The town of Richmond will have the opportunity to rejuvenate their downtown, thanks to a $500,000 the town was awarded recently from the Department of Economic and Community Development, a state agency.
Richmond is the only town in Maine to receive the grant this year, according to a prepared statement from the department.
The grant will fund several improvements, including “streetscapes, site amenities, sidewalks, streetlights, waterfront and park improvements, and parking,” the statement said.
DECD Commissioner John Richardson will present the grant to the town in a formal ceremony at 3 p.m. Monday, at 52 Main St.
