AUGUSTA — Gov. John Baldacci is expected to announce April as Financial Literacy for Mainers month at ceremony this afternoon.

He will make this proclamation at 2 p.m. today in the Hall of Flags at the Statehouse, alongside state Treasurer David Lemoine, Speaker of the House Glenn Cummings, and Maine State Housing Director Dale McCormick.

Today, named Financial Literacy Day in Maine, is to highlight and celebrate efforts of the state’s non-profit organizations and state agencies involving Maine’s financial education.
