RICHMOND — The Richmond Area Health Center will have new but limited walk-in hours for current patients with acute medical problems.
The walk-in hours start May 1. They will be on Monday and Thursday mornings, from 7 to 8.
Dr. Linda Hermans will be available to see walk-in patients at those times, according to a news release.
Walk-in visits are for acute medical needs only, such as ear pain, sore throat, cough, cold, high temperature or sudden appearance of a rash. Visits will be limited to one problem per patient, and medical conditions involving multiple or ongoing symptoms should be scheduled for a regular office visit, the release said.
More information on the new walk-in hours is available by calling 737-4359.
Walk-in appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis so patients are encouraged to arrive early. Patients must be signed in by 7 a.m. and, once the appointment times are filled, patients may be asked to make an appointment for a later time.
