AUGUSTA— The Maine Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction will host the Construction Expo of Maine, the state's largest construction trade show at the Augusta Civic Center on April 16 and April 17.

Proceeds from the Expo fund scholarships for Maine students pursuing construction-related fields of study, association officials said.

Show hours are noon-8 p.m. April 16 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 17. More than 175 exhibitors are expected.

Seminars will be held on both days of the show on a variety of topics of interest to the construction community. The seminar schedule and details are available on the chapter's Web site and go to Construction Expo page.

Over the last 27 years, some 150 Maine students have benefited from NAWIC's sustaining scholarship program. NAWIC has awarded more than $250,000 to Maine students with one-year, two-year and four-year scholarships.
