FATAL FIRE: Ron Buck looks over the damage of the home where he lived and was injured early Friday morning. One person was killed in the fire, according to fire officials. Buck said, "I just wanted to make sure my friends were ok. The heat was so intense it just dropped me to my knees." He was wearing jeans under the hospital gown.

INVESTIGATION: A front porch roof is pulled away to help investigators.
