Katelyn Kampf will have a prostitution charge against her dropped, if she stays in counseling and stays out of trouble.
“She has made really good progress since the outset of therapy,” said her lawyer, Robert Levine.
Kampf agreed last week to plead guilty to the charge, with the understanding it will be dropped after nine months if she follows the guidelines of the plea arrangement.
The Kampf family came into the public spotlight in September of 2006, when Nicholas and Lola Kampf allegedly kidnapped their daughter, Katelyn, in an attempt to persuade her to have an abortion.
Nicholas and Lola were arrested in Salem, N.H. after Katelyn Kampf escaped from them. The kidnapping charges were dropped last October when the parents pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.
Katelyn Kampf was arrested later in October 2007, during a prostitution sting operation. Investigators say Kampf, 21, offered sex for money to an undercover officer at a Portland hotel.
Levine said Katelyn Kampf is back on good terms with her parents, and she intends to go back to college in the fall.
