Doctors to speak about missions to India, Philippines, Vietnam

AUGUSTA — The University of Maine at Augusta is sponsoring a panel discussion Monday with three local doctors who have traveled abroad on medical missions with the organization Doctors Without Borders.

Winthrop Family Practice director Jennifer McConnell, Tom Liscord of Winthrop Family Practice and William Alto of Maine Dartmouth Family Practice in Fairfield have traveled to India, the Philippines and Vietnam with the international humanitarian organization and will be the panelists at Monday’s discussion.

The event takes place Monday at 1 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge in the Student Center on UMA’s campus.
