WILTON – The operator of a pickup truck that hit a NorthStar EMS ambulance on a foggy night three weeks ago on U.S. Route 2 in Wilton was formally charged in the incident by Wilton police Officer Blaine Rackliff onWednesday.
Charges against William Thibodeau, 52, of Farmington were delayed while he remained in intensive care at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Rackliff said.
Thibodeau is charged with driving to endanger, reckless conduct with a motor vehicle, failing to stop at a stop sign, and operating without lights after dark. A charge of operating under the influence of alcohol is pending the result of a blood alcohol content test taken at the time of the accident, the officer said.
